"Peach" Variety, Apaneca-Ilamatepec, El Salvador, 4 oz tins. Another beautiful installment in our Superstar Series, this coffee comes to us from Don Miguel Menendez in northwest El Salvador, near the Guatemala border. This variety is a natural mutation variety, likely from Pacamara and/or Typica and/or Bourbon. It was discovered on Finca El Rosario by Don Miguel about seven years ago and after isolating and replanting seeds for several harvests, there is finally enough to be available to friends of the farm, like Brown Coffee Company. The name gives a clue as to the plush aromas that fill the air during harvest time…and during brewing time in our shops! It is sweet and juicy and complex with the obvious peach tones but also the less obvious brown sugar components that complex coffees also have. (4 oz tins)
